The Honeywell Aquatrol AQ2000 Series Hydronic Controls help to maximize boiler efficiency in multiple ways.
It includes technology called "Outdoor Temperature Compensation" which varies the boiler temperature by compensating
for outdoor temperature changes during milder seasons. The Aquatrol AQ2000 also synchronizes the different heating
zones in your home to minimize frequent boiler cycling. Zones operate in tandem delivering just enough heat to each
zone as needed. These two features can save approximately 15% a year on energy costs, and decrease wear and tear
on your boiler.
The Aquatrol AQ2000 can also help heat your domestic hot water heater to extend your hot water supply, so you're less
likely to run out of hot water - even on the busiest days.
Energy Saving Features
Efficient - The AQ2000 monitors the outdoor air temperature and matches the boiler temperature to the heating load of your
home, saving you approximately 15%* off your energy bill.
Smart - Zoning with the AQ2000 allows you to have a thermostat in each room or group of rooms. The thermostats
communicate with each other to operate efficiently and deliver heat where it's needed rather than everywhere. Think of it like a
light switch - you have one in each room, but only turn on the light when you need it.
More Hot Water - The Powerful AQ2000 system can be set to provide you with Hot Water Priority which assures that
you will always have an ample supply of hot water for washing and showers - if you have a teenager, you know how handy that
can be!
No Wasted Energy - Normally, when a boiler turns off, excess heat sits in the boiler and doesn't get used. The
AQ2000 delivers that retained heat to zones where it can be used, so no energy is wasted. The AQ2000 also keeps your boiler
from cycling too often, helping to save energy as well as wear and tear.
System Protection Features
Keeping In Shape - During periods of inactivity, the AQ2000 makes sure your system gets some exercise. After two
weeks of inactivity, it energizes all system pumps and valves to greatly reduce their changes of "seizing up" when needed.
Freeze Protection - If there's a wiring malfunction, the AQ2000 ensures that small amounts of heat are being sent
to the zones periodically. This prevents your home from freezing while you're waiting for service.
